Nine UAE students top Cambridge exams worldwide

Cambridge International Examinations has announced the 87 winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in the UAE based on performance in the 2015 exams.
The winners will receive awards for exceptional performance in their IGCSE and A Levels examinations, including nine learner who achieved the highest marks in the world, and 50 who attained the highest marks in the UAE in a single subject.
The awards also celebrate the achievements of those learners who have been recognised for 'High Achievement' based on outstanding performance in subjects which are not yet so widely taken in the country, and learners who have achieved the total highest cumulative marks across a number of subjects.
Commenting on the results, CIE regional director, Middle East and North Africa Waseem Al Hanbali said: "I am very proud to congratulate learners across the United Arab Emirates on their outstanding results in the Cambridge examinations. These achievements are a credit to the partnerships which Cambridge has established with schools and demonstrate the dedication and commitment of teachers support provided by families and friends, and learners' determination and passion to succeed. This success defines them not just as learners, but as Cambridge learners. I wish them every success in their future."
