GEMS British curriculum schools exceed UK national averages in A Levels results
August 18, 2016, 10:25 am GMTGEMS Education students have exceeded UK national averages with record A Levels results in 2016.
Across GEMS Schools offering the National Curriculum for England, 39% of students achieved A*-A, and 65% of students achieved A* - B, higher than the UK national averages on both counts.
The overall pass rate for GEMS' British curriculum schools was 99.8%.
AS level results were also very positive with 42% of student entries obtaining A-B, and with an overall pass rate of 90.7%, compared to the UK pass rate of 89.4%.
GEMS Education chief education officer Sir Christopher Stone commented: "I am very proud of our 2016 A and AS Level results. The hard work of our students, teachers and parents is evident in GEMS schools and these results are a true reflection of their commitment to learning and drive to achieve the highest standards. I strongly believe that these results are an indication that our students are well prepared for the next stage in their educational journey, and we look forward to their continued success."
