Photos: VISS 10th anniversary celebrations
December 10, 2017, 11:00 am GMTThe Victoria International School of Sharjah (VISS), a premium school offering the Australian Curriculum and IB diploma, has celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a milestone event attended by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed al-Qasimi, member of Supreme Council, ruler of Sharjah.
Also in attendance were Dr Saeed al Kaabi, director of The Sharjah Education Council, Hesa Al Khaja, director of Sharjah Education Zone, Fawziah Gareeb, assistant undersecretary for the School Operations Sector, John Brumby, chairman of Fred Hollows Foundation, Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of Shurooq and members from the Consultative Council of Sharjah along with school faculty, students, parents and members of the school community.
Celebrations saw a variety of activities from the students and VISS faculty that included music, poem recitals and short drama performances to take the audience through the past decade of VISS.
His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed al-Qasimi spoke to the audience about his vision of a Victorian school in the Emirate, the huge success it has garnered over the years and congratulated the VISS students, faculty, and parents for reaching the 10 year milestone.
