Scott brings more than 30 years of international experience to his new role, having started his teaching career in Northeast England before moving overseas to assume senior leadership positions at high performing International Baccalaureate schools in the Netherlands and Bangkok.
Scott's appointment at Fairgreen follows six years as deputy head of the International School of Bangkok, which caters to 1800 students. He was previously head of school at the International School of The Hague in the Netherlands for seven years.
Sharing his vision for the school, Scott said: "Fairgreen International School has been designed specifically to meet the needs of contemporary learners and to develop articulate, caring, global citizens. Our educational philosophy and practice is founded in robust research, supported by recent findings from educational neuroscience and enveloped within a culture of extraordinary care. Innovation and creativity are non-negotiables, with children encouraged to be courageous and to think differently."
Located in Dubai's Sustainable City, Fairgreen International School will tailor the IB continuum programme to integrate a sustainable education curriculum.
Fairgreen will open for students in pre-K through Grade 9 in September 2018. When complete, the school will accommodate over 1000 students.
