ADNOC schools partner with LEGO Education on STEM programme
November 19, 2017, 5:30 am GMTThe Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has signed a partnership agreement with LEGO Education to introduce high quality hands-on learning programmes designed to improve the study of STEM subjects in all ADNOC schools in Abu Dhabi and the Al Dhafra region.
Under the terms of the agreement, LEGO Innovation Studios will be constructed in all ADNOC schools and will benefit students from elementary to high school.
The agreement covers the establishment of creative labs, teacher training and development programmes, and access to LEGO Education's global online collaboration communities.
ADNOC manager of corporate social responsibility Reem Al Buainain commented: "This partnership reaffirms ADNOC's unwavering commitment to the learning and development of students in our schools, in Abu Dhabi community and the UAE overall. Our children's education is vital to the future prosperity of the UAE. The programme honours our wise leadership's vision and ambition to create innovative education experiences to allow our youth to fulfill their potential."
Commenting on behalf of LEGO Education, Atlab director Senthil Kugan said: "The programme represents ADNOC's significant investment in the acceleration and growth of STEM education, in ADNOC schools, that will create a positive and lasting impact on UAE society."
