Eight UAE students to compete in Kenken global finals in December
November 13, 2016, 6:30 pm GMTThirty students from across the UAE were crowned UAE National Level Champions for the the Kenken competition, which launched in the country earlier this year.
Eight of the top ranking students from the UAE finals will represent the country in the International Level round in New York City on December 18.
The students include: Eeshan Sharma from GEMS Modern Academy; Ganesh Ramm from The Oxford School, Dubai; Helem Jos from Sunrise English Private School; Mythri Muralikannan from The Millennium School Dubai; Paarth Gupta from GEMS Dubai American Academy; Aryaaam Chawla from Dubai College; Gamin Kwon from The English College; and Ghaia Aljarwan from Rosary School.
An award ceremony will be held after the international championships to recognise the winners. The top 20 students in every category will also receive a certificate for their performance.
Kenken UAE director Gaurav Singla commented: "UAE is undergoing a puzzling revolution and our attempt will be to involve all students and schools in it. Puzzling not only boosts a students mental agility, but also, it is an extremely rewarding hobby to inculcate in this day an age of games and electronic media."
