2 academic calendar for UAE schools released

The UAE's Ministry of Education has released the official calendar for the 2017/18 academic year.
The school year will begin on September 3, 2017 for teachers and administrative staff, following Eid Al Adha, which is expected to fall during the first week of September 2018.
The school year will begin on September 10 for all students.
The academic year will end on June 28, 2018 for students and July 5 for teachers and administrative staff.
The full calendar, shown below, also outlines dates for term breaks:

September 3, 2017: First day for teachers and administrative staff
September 10, 2017: Term 1 begins for students
December 14, 2017: Term 1 ends; winter break begins
January 2, 2018: Teachers and staff return to work
January 7, 2018: Term 2 begins for students
March 25, 2018: Term 2 ends
April 1, 2018: Teachers and staff return to work
April 8, 2018: Term 3 begins for students
June 28, 2018: Term 3 ends for students; summer break begins
July 5, 2018: Last day for teachers and staff
